    Master of Fashion Accessories Design

    The large firms in the fashion sector now devote a large part of their resources to producing accessories and second lines, as a way of positioning their brand and obtaining large sales profits. Accessories have become objects of desire and real icons with their own name. Undoubtedly, the fashion industry has already become aware of the need to have highly qualified professionals to develop these lines and satisfy the demand of the international market. 
    Develop all your creative potential through an exploration of the various stages of one of the most exclusive areas in the world of fashion. This master's degree will help you to stimulate your creative interest and your ability to become a professional specialising in the field of jewellery, bags and footwear design.

    With its mixed format, this degree will allow all students to learn, participate and be part of the IED community in person, in physical and virtual classrooms, and remotely. 


    • Train professionals capable of positioning themselves in the market as accessory designers (bags, footwear and jewellery)
    • Learn the technical aspects of an industrial and craft production process, in order to be able to investigate and experiment with materials during the design and development of an accessories collection.
    • Introduction to craft techniques and the quality of the materials, as well as the appliqués and fittings used in the manufacture of accessories.
    • Introduction to the different manufacturing tools used to make prototypes in wax and other materials, such as the use of moulds with silicone, metal casting and prototyping by 3D printer.
    • Learn about all aspects of launching an accessories collection, from the production of a product to its distribution and communication.
    • Show how to present an accessory brand through a personalised discourse, giving the products a differential value in order to be able to compete in the market.

    Emelina Herraiz - Master of Fashion Accessories Design - IED Madrid

    Emelina Herraiz

    A specialised fashion designer with more than twenty years’ experience in the world of leather accessories. For six years she was in charge of the technical development of the footwear collections for the firm Creaciones Acosta in Madrid. Later, she collaborated with firms like Roberto Verino, Balmain, Javier Larrainzar, Salvador Dalí and Joaquín Trías.

    Ruth Arilla - Master of Fashion Accessories Design - IED Madrid

    Ruth Arilla Acota

    Designer specialised in accessories. She carries out her professional activity with designers such as Duyos and Jesús del Pozo and for brands like Jocomomola by Sybilla and Fun&Basics. She currently has her own collection and collaborates on different projects as a freelancer.

    Charmian Irman - Master of Fashion Accessories Design - IED Madrid

    Charmian Inman

    A jeweller with twenty-five years of experience designing and producing jewellery in the United Kingdom and Spain. After graduating from the Central Saint Martins College of Art in London, she created her own company. Years later she moved to live in Madrid and for the next ten years worked as production coordinator in the workshop-studio of Helena Rohner. Currently, she works as a freelance designer and jeweller, collaborating in humanitarian projects in developing countries, always related to jewellery and fashion.


    The Master is made up of three modules, which can be carried out independently:
