    The Master of Textiles and Surfaces Design addresses pattern design from a multifaceted methodology in which special emphasis is placed on the development of creativity, technical mastery and understanding of processes (printing, digital printing, rotary, ceramics decals, etc.) and on the knowledge of possible commercial applications, textiles, wallpaper, ceramics, home design, stationery, jewellery, etc. The main objective is to train professionals who are capable of adapting to market demands, providing knowledge and skills to generate ideas and develop designs applicable to various products and surfaces.

    The main objective is to train professionals who are capable of adapting to market demands, providing knowledge and skills to generate ideas and develop designs applicable to various products and surfaces.

    • Establish the necessary foundations to carry out compatible surface designs which can be understood by all kinds of manufacturers and professionals
    • Learn to develop technical specifications that describe, using specific language, your designs for textiles and products
    • Discern the types of materials, industrial processes and application possibilities of surface design for each of these
    • Understand the language, machinery, processes, possibilities, timeframes and specific costs for each sector
    • Apply knowledge to the presentation of designs, both digital and manual
    • Apply personal creativity and knowledge to the different areas covered in the course to handle briefs presented by specialized firms

    Inés Aguilar

    Designer and founder of the fashion brand La Casita de Wendy. Her products are sold in prestigious stores, like Barneys, Anthropologie in the U.S., Matsuya in Tokyo and Cocktail in Hong Kong. It has been on show on the catwalks of Paris, Barcelona and Madrid, and she has also collaborated with companies like Mecedorama, Such Great Heights, Sybilla or Agatha Ruiz de la Prada.
