    New technologies invade the lighting environment. Ephemeral and mysterious, light is a powerful tool to awaken our perception, emotion, memory and imagination at the point of confluence between art, science and technology. 

    In the Postgraduate Course in Creative Lighting, you will explore new technologies through art and lighting design, and you will be able to study and implement new business models and different ways of using light for both an artistic and strategic purpose.     Maja Petrić


    Maja Petrić is an artist who works in the interface of science, technology and art.

    Maja holds a Doctorate in Digital Art and Experimental Media (DXARTS) from the University of Washington, a Master of Arts in New Media from the Tisch School of the Arts (New York University) and a Master’s in Journalism from University of Zagreb.

    Maja grew up in Croatia during the violent fragmentation of Yugoslavia. It is then that his concern arose to use art to transform the traumatic experiences of his environment. His work consists of transforming the poetic experience of space through light. He has exhibited individually in the Henry Art Gallery, Studio99 Gallery, Amazon Gallery and has participated in several group exhibitions.

    Some of the awards he has received include Richard Kelly Light Art Award, two Thünen Lighting Awards and Microsoft Research Residency Award. Recently, the International Light Art Center nominated his work of art for the International De Light Art Award.
