A graphic designer can work in many fields, but in the competitive field of fashion and luxury you need to have a deep and fundamental understanding of the clean, simple and elegant aesthetic that is the cornerstone of modern luxury. To understand this ”aesthetics of luxury”, the students will be immersed, for a period of four months, in a visual world in which beauty and subtle elegance will prevail.
Taught by experts of the sector, in the Postgraduate Course in Art Direction the students will learn to create this aesthetics of luxury in their own work. Together with the teachers, the students will be able to professionalize their portfolio, develop new pieces and prepare mood boards for photo sessions. Other activities will include attending a fashion photo shoot, meeting with fashion executives, and benefitting from the reviews and feedback of industry experts. In addition, the students will experience the aesthetics of luxury when visiting and experiencing fashion stores, hotels and cultural institutions.
With a multifaceted educational vision, this course teaches three basic components: the ability to produce clean and elegant graphic designs, a real immersion in the aesthetics of luxury and the fashion business, and the needs of fashion and luxury consumers. With this holistic approach, a deep knowledge of this field will be obtained. Once the students have finished the course, they will have gone from generalist graphic designers to specialists, and will be fully prepared to enter the competitive fashion and luxury industry.
